A kōrero from Rangitāne

The video follows the horse trek that this whānau make each January, from inland Dannevirke to the marae at Ōwahanga on the coast. Up to 50 horses and riders participate including pēpi, rangatahi, mātua and kaumatua. They come together and share the stories of the land, the histories of their tīpuna and responsibility for other living creatures.
