The history is retold through m\u014dteatea, and the chanting of Pele, recounting the deeds of their common ancestor N\u0101koloikalani (Ng\u0101toroirangi). Thus the pan-Pacific links are reconnected. <em>He Puia, he Iwi<\/em> was published in three languages (M\u0101ori, Hawai&#8217;ian and English), both in print and digital media.<\/p>\n<p><em>He Puia, he Iwi<\/em>\u00a0comprises two books \u2013 Ng\u0101toroirangi and N\u0101koloikalani \u2013 an interactive digital resource (see below) and teachers&#8217; support material<\/p>\n<p>Nominated in the category of e-learning, <em>He Puia, he Iwi<\/em> represented New Zealand at the World Summit Awards in Tunisia, November 2005 (UN Awards for excellence in digital content).<\/p>\n<p>Published 2004.
